Private Company Educates Young Minds in Kenosha
KENOSHA, WI: On Friday, for the third year in a row, Leeward Business Advisors (LeewardBA) will be demonstrating their commitment to the community by facilitating assemblies for Kenosha School of Technology Enhanced Curriculum (KTEC) students.
Friday’s assemblies are part of Computer Science Education Week’s global Hour of Code that reaches over 100 million students in over 180 countries. Students do not need prior experience and come out of the event inspired to learn more about computer science, which is foundational to nurturing creativity and problem-solving skills- both crucial to any future career.
LeewardBA’s CEO, Michael Polzin, states "This year we are focusing on cyber security. During the all-day assembly students will learn about networking concepts, security threats, and strategies to stay safe online. Access to connected technology is so prevalent, we must do more to ready our students to enter careers to help protect cyber space."
The assemblies run all day Friday, December 1st and will be held at the KTEC West Campus (5710 32nd Avenue). Press is invited to attend.
